A 25-year-old lorry driver was killed on the spot, while four others were injured in a serial accident in Kamakshipalya on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Shivakumar (25). Prasanna B V (38) of Laggere, Hanumantharaju (30), the driver of Tata Ace vehicle and Kumar (27) were injured.
A lorry, a tipper, mini goods vehicle and a car were damaged. The accident occurred near Kottigepalya when Shivakumar, a native of Mandya, was heading towards Kamakshipalya around 9.20 am. He lost control and rammed lorry into a sand-laden tipper leading to a pile-up.
