JOIN USBJP leaders B S Yeddyurappa and K S Eshwarappa seem to be headed for another confrontation over the latter’s move to associate himself with the Sangolli Rayanna Brigade.
BJP president B S Yeddyurappa issued a press statement on Thursday appealing to his party colleagues to confine their organisational activities to the party.
He also requested that no “forum” or “fans’ association” should be started in his name.
However, within hours of Yeddyurappa issuing a statement to the media, the Sangolli Rayanna Brigade put out a press release stating that Eshwarappa will participate in a preparatory meeting of the brigade on Friday to discuss arrangements for a convention of Dalits in Haveri.
The convention is scheduled to be held on September 1. The party central leaders had tried to intervene recently to resolve the differences between the two, but to avail.
