Sony to spend Rs 150 cr this festive season

Sony India is planning to spend Rs 150 crore on advertisement this festive season, Kenichiro Hibi Managing Director of Sony India said.

“We have allocated budget of Rs 150 crore towards festive season marketing this year,” Hibi said.

Hibi also elaborated about other plans of the company in India for this festive season. “The festive season accounts for 30% of total sales from the August-Novemebr period. We will be launching new products across categories ahead of the festive season. The festive season starts from Onam in Kochi, and we have already rolled out the marketing campaign in that region,” he added.

“Customers will be able to avail assured free gifts on purchase of Sony BRAVIA and select Xperia models, including PlayStation3 worth Rs 16,990, Blu-ray player, 1TB external hard drive, headphones, power banks and pen drives,” Hibi added.
