When Shivakumar began taking potshots at the government over Alliance Private University Bill, a smiling Chief Minister remarked: “Shivakumar, you complimented me yesterday saying that we (the ruling party) are conducting the legislature session well. You were with me for two hours yesterday”. An embarassed Shivakumar mumbled: “That was in a different context”.
A wry observation by Leader of the Opposition S Siddaramaiah saved Shivakumar from embarrassment. “Both of you were in the same aircraft yesterday. What he told you was in air. The ground reality is different,” Siddaramaiah said.
