Table Mountain took the lead at the beginning, closely followed by Raptor Force (PS Chouhan up) and The Last Samurai. The race bore the same pattern until the straight, when clear favourite Topkapi kicked ahead from the pack and moved into the lead with ease to win by a comfortable 2-3/4 lengths over B Prakash-ridden Oban, who made a late charge to claim second.
Raptor Force and Rajesh Babu-piloted Duckworth finished third and fourth respectively.
