An RSS-affiliate, Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM), on Tuesday carried out a third-party audit of the work done by Niti Aayog.
The audit, SJM says, has revealed that the government policy think tank’s approach was “not in sync with” Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aim of emancipation of the poor and overall development.
For the first time, SJM organised a round table conference on the Aayog’s performance.
SJM national co-convenor, Dr Ashwani Mahajan, told DH that the outcome of the day-long conference was that “Niti Aayog has no clarity on what it has to do”.
