JOIN USThe Subramanyapura police questioned a BMTC conductor following accusation by a woman on Facebook that the conductor manhandled her while commuting by the bus on January 10.
The police said the conductor had denied the charges and claimed that the woman picked a fight with him when he asked her to tender exact change.
“The woman stated in the post that the conductor tried to manhandle her while she boarded the bus from Ragigudda to Uttarahalli. The post was brought to the notice of senior police officers, who directed the Subramanyapura police to register a suo moto case,” said a police officer.
“We tried to get the details of the post, but the victim has deleted it. Several attempts to contact her through the social networking site went in vain. She is not responding to our messages. We are trying to get in touch with the victim. Further action will be taken based on her statement,” the officer added.
