A group of diagnostic centres in the city, under the banner of Association of Diagnostic Centres Bengaluru, has decided to provide services at uniform prices with effect from March 1. According to the members they are also proposing to reduce prices for major services like CT-MR scanning.
Dr Umashankar, treasurer of the association, said that currently, the prices at diagnostic centres vary. From March 1, these prices will be same in at least 30 centres in the City. According to a release from the association, though there are more than 1,000 diagnostic centres in the city, only about 50 have high-end equipment for conducting CT and MRI.
