This Sunday, head to the Rangoli Metro Art Center on Mahatma Gandhi Road and take home traditional artwork and handicrafts from ‘Art for People’, an artisans’ festival, at affordable prices.
More than 200 established, rural and amateur artists, from Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, will take part in the event, which will begin at 9 am and continue till 8.30 pm. Oil, acrylic and watercolour paintings, home decor, fine art, functional art, handmade jewellery will be on display.
Balaji Margonda, assistant curator, Rangoli Metro Art Center, said they intend to conduct the festival every month to help artists reach out to people.
