Azam returns cow and calf to seer

Former UP minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan, who has a dairy farm in his home district of Rampur, does not want to rear cows any longer.

Azam is scared to keep cows in his farm after the recent incident at Alwar in Rajasthan, where cow vigilantes lynched a man, who was transporting cows to his village.

Reports said that Azam has returned a cow and a calf, which had been given to him by a Hindu seer two years ago.

“If anything happens to the cow or the calf, such vigilante groups will get an excuse to kill people. It is therefore better to return them,” Azam reportedly said.
