JOIN USBBMP engineers in the Rajarajeshwari Nagar zone have refused to submit the files pertaining to a public work in Laggere ward to the BBMP’s Technical Vigilance Cell under Commissioner (TVCC).
About six months ago, residents of Laggere ward had complained to the BBMP Commissioner N Manjunatha Prasad that payments have been made for the work which was not carried out. Prasad then referred the matter to the TVCC for an investigation.
Based on the instruction, TVCC officials directed the engineers to submit the files. Six months have lapsed since the commissioner directed the TVCC to investigate the matter but the engineers have not submitted the files.
A TVCC official said, “We wrote many times to the engineers and their superiors in the zone to submit the files but there was no response. Finally, we wrote to the commissioner to initiate action against the engineers for their non-compliance.
