Beggar's gunny bag triggers scare at stadium

Tension prevailed for a while outside M Chinnaswamy stadium, where an IPL match was scheduled on Sunday, after a gunny bag was found abandoned.

One of the cricket fans who had come to see the match between RCB and Pune Supergiant alerted a few TV channel journalists.

Channels started streaming the breaking news about the bag being abandoned. The police, bomb detection and disposal squad rushed to the spot on being informed and checked the bag.

Around the same time, a beggar came there and told the police that the bag belonged to him. He told the police that he had kept it there and had forgotten to carry it while leaving the place. Those who had gathered heaved a sigh of relief.
