<p>Four thousand people from across the state will participate in a cycle rally from Tipu Sultan's tomb in Srirangapatna to Mysuru Town Hall to mark the 218th death anniversary of the martyred king on May 4. <br /><br />The cyclists will reach the Town Hall where a series of cultural programmes including the staging of ‘Tippuvina Kanasugalu’ (The Dreams of Tipu Sultan), a play written by Girish Karnad chronicling the life of the king, will be held.<br /><br />“There is a lot of misconception about him that includes the belief that he was an anti-national or anti-Kannadiga. We want to break these misconceptions. We want to share the true life of the king,” said S M Iqbal , convener of Muttahida Mahaz.<br /><br />DH News Service</p>
