Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) member Chattar Singh was questioned by the CBI in a case of irregularities in the allocation of industrial plots on Monday.

The incidents referred to in the FIR took place in 2012, when Singh was posted as additional principal secretary to former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

According to the FIR, 14 people were given industrial plots by manipulating certain provisions of the allotment.

It is said in the report that these people were allowed to submit their applications after the last date of submission.

They submitted their applications on 24 January, 2012, when the deadline was 6 January, 2012. The FIR also said that the 14 plots were allotted at throwaway prices after changes were made in the eligibility criteria.
