Bright colours with unique cuts and silhouettes dominate young women’s preferences today. This is exactly where ‘Ni Hao! Fashion’ fits in. Their latest collection focusses on chic trends for the season.
“I’m deeply interested in what’s hot now and I keep a close watch on the runway,” says cofounder T Metok Lachungpa. “I keep an eye on what the trends are. This helps me bring in the best for the young women here,” she says. With attractive cuts and unique fits, the collection has hem patterns and embroidery prints.
“Floral prints and fruit patterns are also in now. Ruffle dresses and tops are being sought after this season,” she says. Denim has always been in style and the brand has brought out different outfits in the fabric.
“From denim dresses to distressed pants, we have it all,” she says. Bright and pastel colours dominate the season’s palette. “The best hues for the season includes mint,” she says. The collection is dominated by culottes, exaggerated sleeve tops and slip dresses.
“I outsource my designs from various manufacturers. Our target audience is women between the age of 18 and 27. They are re fun, young at heart and open to experimentation. And they love fashion,” she says. While Metok tries to keep the boutique up to date with the styles, she also sources shoes, bags and other accessories.
“In shoes, we have bold platform shoes, pearl studded sandals and lace-up heels. For the bag lovers, we have chain detailed sling bags, patch handbags and embroidered backpacks which make a unique style statement,” she says.
