Tarikere PU college lacks teachers

There are 15 teachers working in the school but there is a requirement for additional 6 teachers and two Grade D employees. The school has 28 classrooms and there are no Grade D workers. At present, a lab assistant is doing the cleaning work in the school.

During the last academic year, there were 654 students in total with 207 students in 8th standard. SSLC result was only 44.35 per cent and the students opined that they could have done better if there were teachers for all subjects. School Vice-Principal M N Jayanna said that they have submitted a memorandum to the department demanding filling of vacancies and the Department had accordingly assured to do the same at the earliest.
