PPC golden jubilee celebrations on April 10

Speaking to the media persons here on Tuesday, Principal Prof Rajmohan informed that Lokayukta Justice Santhosh Hegde will inaugurate the indoor stadium at the valedictory function on April 10. Admaru mutt seer Sri Vishwapriyatheertha Swamiji will preside. Paryaya Shiroor mutt pontiff Sri Laxmivaratheertha Swamiji and Pejawar mutt pontiff Sri Vishweshatheertha Swamiji will be present on the occasion, he said. Home Minister Dr V S Acharya will release the golden jubilee celebration souvenir. Rajyasabha MP Oscar Fernandes, Udupi MLA Raghupathy Bhat, Kaup MLA Lalaji R Mendon and CMC President Dinaker Shetty will be the chief guests. On April 9,  there will be a special lecture on ‘Education and Culture’ by Former Senior Research Scholar of Oriental Research Institute, Mysore Dr H V Nagaraj Rao.

On April 10, various cultural programmes will be held as part of the valedictory programme including a dance drama sequence ‘Seetha Kalyana’ based on a Tulu epic by Mandara Keshav Bhat, Magic show by Junior Shankar and Yakshagana ‘Veera Abhimanyu’ by the students and staff of the college, Rajmohan added.
