Kudla dog show on Sunday

Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, KSGVA President Dr K V Halagappa said that the show will be inaugurated by District-in-Charge Minister Krishna J Palemar at 4 pm.
More than 200 dogs of 15 to 20 breeds ranging from tiny pug poodle to giants like Rottweiler and Bull mastiff will be part of the show. There will be various competitions for the dogs like obedience test and special talent show. Judges from Bangalore will judge the show. There will be stalls put up by various pharmaceutical companies producing pet medicines and accessories at the venue, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Convenor of the Dog Show Core Committee Dr Shilpa B N said that the special attraction of the show is the ‘Rabies awareness programme,’ which will be inaugurated by Mayor Rajani Dugganna. The programme is organised with the objective of removing several misconceptions about dog keeping and the deadly disease Rabies, she said.

Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj will preside over the valedictory function at 7 pm, in which General Manager of Corporation Bank N R Shet will give away the prizes, she added.
Secretary of KSGVA Dr K Ashok Kumar and others were present at the press meet.
