Condemning Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for the twin FIRs against BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa in connection with denotification of government land at Avalahalli in Bengaluru, BJP workers staged a protest in Mysuru on Sunday.

The protesters, who gathered near Gandhi Square, alleged that Siddaramaiah is misusing his power and ACB to control Yeddyurappa and BJP. They alleged that Siddaramaiah forced KAS officer H Basavarajendra, one of the accused in the Shivaram Karanth Layout land denotification, to name Yeddyurappa in the case.

The party workers said that Siddaramaiah is scared that Congress party would not come to power in the upcoming Assembly elections in 2018. They said that the CM diluted Lok Ayukta by creating ACB.

Though many chief ministers have denotified lands in the last two decades, the ACB is only targeting Yeddyurappa due to pressure exerted by Siddaramaiah. ACB is working in favour of the CM and the move is politically motivated, the protesters alleged.
