Bengaluru Ganesha Utsava’ is all set to be held from August 25 to September 4 at National College Grounds, Basavanagudi.

The 11-day festival is a platform to celebrate the rich culture and tradition of Karnataka with entertainment shows by celebrated/renowned artists from various fields lined up for each day.

Every year, the ‘Mantapa’ for the elephant god is built as a replica of renowned architectural marvels of Karnataka like the Melukote Temple, Kalyani; Kollur Mookambika Temple, Dharmastala’s Manjunatha Temple etc.

Lord Ganesha will be honoured this year in a ‘mantapa’ inspired by one of the most celebrated architectural monuments in the state - the Durbar Hall of the Mysore Palace.
Ornately gilded columns, stained glass ceilings, decorative steel grills and chandeliers with intricate floral motifs will adorn the abode of Lord Ganesha this year.

The key acts this year include a live concert by Sandalwood actor Yash, performance by singer KS Chitra, a classical sarod night by Amjad Ali Khan and troupe, a Bollywood and Kannada musical night by Shankar Mahadevan and a Raghu Dixit musical night.

There is also a never-before-seen ‘Krishna Leelaarnava’ reminiscing Lord Krishna’s glorious saga performed by over 300 lead dancers of international repute.
