<p>A farmer was killed in a crocodile attack in River Krishna waters near Halingali village of the taluk on Friday.<br /><br />The deceased has been identified as Dharmanna Jinnappa Khanagonda (45).<br /><br />He had ventured into the river to change the dysfunctional footvalve of a irrigation pump. The crocodile attacked him and dragged him into the river. The body of the farmer was yet to be traced.<br /><br />He is survived by wife and two daughters.<br /><br /></p>
