Focus on cleanliness in villages: Varthur Prakash

He was speaking after launching  various development works under Suvarna Grama scheme in Kodiramasundra, Ammerahalli, Muduvatti and Pachcharla villages on Saturday and said in Muduvatti village Rs 35 lakh, Kodiramasudra Rs 30 lakh, Ammerahalli Rs 36 lakh and Pachcharla Rs 4 lakh worth development works were going on.

Ten villages in the taluk were included in the scheme. Under this scheme community hall, anganwadi centre, cement road and drainages were being given importance, he said.

Zilla Panchayat member Balaji Chennaiah said he had supported former legislator Srinivasa Gowda for the past 15 years. Still he looked at him with hatred.
Gowda had promised him the post of the ZP president and betrayed him twice, he alleged.

In the recently held PLD elections he had worked in favour of Srinivasa Gowda. But in the future he would work for the victory of Prakash faction candidates, said Chennaiah.

Rural block Congress president Begli Suryaprakash spoke. Leaders Dhanamattanahalli Venkatesh, PLD bank directors Jambhapura Venkatram, Krishna Gowda, Pachcharlahalli villages Madderi Panchayat leader Mune Gowda, Anjinappa, Doddappaiah, Nanjappa, Muniswamy Nayak, Manjunath Nayak, Muduvatti grama’s Krishnappa, Manjunath, Veeregowda, Kodiramasundra taluk panchayat member Shivamma, Muniswamy, Farook, Syed Zakir, Yuvaraj and others were present.
