Ousted AIADMK leader TTV Dhinakaran on Friday visited the Kodagu resort where the 18 disqualified MLAs have been camping for nearly two weeks.
“Our opponents are spreading rumours that there is rift in our ranks,” one of the disqualified Andipatti MLA Thanga Tamil Selvan said. “(they might assume that) TTV Dhinakaran visited to set right the rift. However, we are all united.” Tamil Selvan also said Dhinakaran discussed the next course of action with them. Staking claim to the two-leaf symbol, he said the AIADMK belongs to them.
“No one has the right to divide the party,” he said. “Chief Minister (Edappadi) Palaniswami has no right to take action against us.”
A further round of meeting would take place between Dhinakaran and the disqualified MLAs here on Saturday, when some key decisions are expected to be taken.
