He is witty and quick but very careful with his words. <br /><br />Bollywood singer Amit Mishra, who rose to fame with the song ‘Bulleya’ from the movie ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, has been raising the bar with every song of his. <br /><br />With hits like ‘Sau Tarah Ke’, ‘Manma Emotion Jaage’, ‘Ding Dang’ to name a few, there is no looking back for this young singer. <br /><br />In a chat with SurupasreeSarmmah, Amit gets candid about his musical journey. <br /><br />From songs like ‘Bulleya’ and ‘Radio’ to ‘Galti se mistake’, you have been rendering back-to-back hits. What is your personal favourite?<br /><br />‘Bulleya’ was a next-level recognition for me so it will always remain special to me. Apart from this the latest, ‘Suno Ganpati Bappa Morya’ from the film ‘Judwaa’ is my favourite. <br /><br />One of the most challenging songs you have sung...<br /><br />Most people think that ‘Bulleya’ would have been challenging. However, for me, every song that I have sung till today have been challenging in its own way. I will have to enjoy the song otherwise I wouldn‘t be able to sing it. <br /><br />The ‘Ganapati’ song is trending... how does it feel to be a part of such great songs?<br /><br />It is a great pleasure to give my voice as a playback singer for the third time to Varun Dhawan. And it was an honour to sing for legendary Sajid-Wajid. During the recording of the song, I also got a chance to meet David Dhawan, which was the cherry on the cake.<br /><br />You have also sung songs in Telugu, Bengali and Marathi. Was language ever a barrier?<br /><br />Singing songs in a regional languages is equally important. Language was never a barrier for me in terms of playback singing, but the only challenge that I face with them is performing these songs live. I would love to sing in regional languages but Bollywood will always have my heart and soul. <br /><br />Your favourite television show...<br /><br />I am very fond of television shows and series. The most recent one that I am fond of is ‘Inside Edge’. And of course, ‘Game Of Thrones’ is always there. Pritamda got me into watching this series. (Laughs)<br /><br />Are you a dessert person?<br /><br />Being a ‘Mishra’, yes I am a dessert person. I love relishing on Bengali sweets like ‘rosogollarpayesh’ and ‘gur patisapta’. <br /><br />The weirdest Hinglish word you came across recently...<br /><br />(Laughs) ‘Cooleshwar’. <br /><br />Any projects that you can talk about...<br /><br />There are a couple of video singles that I will be working on but it’s all confidential at this point. I am also looking ahead to work with young artistes too, so let’s see how it goes.</div>
