Youth arrested for sneaking into women's house

A 25-year-old man, on Wednesday, was arrested for sneaking into a house where four women were staying in Hoodi at Whitefield.

The man who is a neighbour identified as Murali alias Gym Murali sneaked into the first floor rented house either for peeping into their bathroom or for misbehaving with the women, the police suspect. The accused is being interrogated to ascertain the motive of his visit, the police said. The women complainants told the police, the man was a complete stranger to them.

The women spotted Murali around 9.30 pm on the first floor of their house last week and raised an alarm. Murali took to heels and jumped off the first floor of the building and disappeared into the dark.

His action was caught on a CCTV camera installed in the rented residential building where the women stayed. The women then lodged a complaint with the police who conducted inquiry and arrested Murali. Mahadevapura police slapped the accused with IPC section 354 - assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty. The accused was produced before a magistrate and remanded to judicial custody.
