According to Food Shirastedar the cylinders were meant for unauthorised commercial use. Tahsildar has said that legal action would be initiated against Rajeshwari, Vimal Kumar and Nagaraj for hoarding the cylinders illegally. The raid was conducted by the Tahsildar and officials of Food and Civil Supplies Department.
Speaking to reporters, Additional Deputy Commissioner G S Nayak asked the public to contact the food shirastedar or tahsildar in the event of any discrepancy in distribution of LPG cylinders. He said that he would pay surprise visits to Fair Price Shops in the taluk to detect any unfair practices.
