Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP)  members staged a protest in front of  Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) head office against poor condition of roads, series of accidents by potholes and garbage problem.

Protesters locked the main gate of BBMP office and raised slogans against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, City development minister K J George and BBMP for the pathetic condition of roads. Protesters also alleged that all the problems are caused because of corruption in BBMP.

Former Deputy Chief Minister R Ashoka said that  “potholes have become the major problem in the city. There is no guarantee for life when you ride on the city road, the government says they have spent 22 cores for filling the pothole but we have not seen any changes in the pothole. Government is robbing taxpayers money by corruption. George gives inhuman statements to the recent deaths by accidents saying victims lost their life because of their own mistake.”

“Chief Minister says he has dedicated Rs 4,000 crores for the development of the city but where is the development? we want to know where is the money gone?” questioned Ashoka.

Police took a few BJP workers and protesters into their custody during the protest.
