SSK Samaj celebrates Sahasrarjun Jayanti

Members of Somavamsha Sahasrarjuna Kshatriya (SSK) Samaj celebrated Sri Sahasrarjun Maharaj Jayanti with pomp and gaiety on Sunday.

The day-long event, started with the flag hoisting and prayers.

The members of the community observed a minute silence in memory of the community leaders Srihari L Khoday, Mahaveerasa, S M Venkatesh, G D Shankarasa and Gopalakrishna Dhondale.

The evening concluded with the cultural events and the prize distribution to the winners of the painting competition, shloka recitation, fancy dress and quiz contests.

Kabadi Nagendrasa, SSK Sangha Donor-Trustee, called upon the youths to draw inspiration from the deeds and achievements of the community leaders and excel in their chosen fields.

He urged the members the community to set up more educational institutions.

S Anantha, former president of SSK Cooperative Society, said that there is a need to educate the children of the Samaja about the success stories scripted by the members of the community.

Akhila Bharatiya SSK Samaj secretary D Gangadharsa, S Dhondusa Dharma Samsthe trustee S N Srinivasa Murthy, SSK Samaj chief patron Khoday L Ramachandrasa, treasurer M C Umashankar, member Magaji K Somashekhar and convener M S Ram among others were present.
