JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy on Wednesday took to Twitter to slam the government for ignoring individuals from the farming sector for the Rajyotsava award.
"Karnataka's land, water and language have survived only because of the farmers. There are 80 lakh farmers in the state. It's however unfortunate that the government could not find a single farmer to be feted. Why has the government overlooked the farming sector? This shows its attitude towards the farming community," reads his tweet.
