Birthday boy Kamal Hasaan launches app to stay in touch with people

Actor Kamal Haasan, who launched a mobile app to interact with people on Tuesday, said that work to float a new party is underway.

"Lots of work has been done. At present, I am consulting with experts and friends. I will make the announcement at an appropriate time. Party name is just a formality," said Kamal.

Kamal, who turned 63 on Tuesday, said he was also working on the structural part of his new party.

Stating that there is no hurry to unveil his political outfit, the actor said he has planned to travel across the state and meet people from all walks of life to understand their issues before entering the political arena.

"My intention is to work with the people," he said.

While explaining about the mobile app, Kamal claimed that it would act as a platform to get in touch with people on a regular basis.

"This app is a whistleblower and it will be used whenever there is wrongdoing," Kamal said.

Pointing out that the app is in beta testing stage, Kamal said, "Earlier, when I launched an online forum, it came under the hands of hackers. Therefore, I am careful this time."

Appealing to the people to raise their voice against corruption, Kamal said, "Time has come to project the government's misdeeds."
