A 29-year-old physical education teacher consumed poison and then went to the Rajagopalanagar police station to appear for questioning over an FIR filed by a woman colleague against him and his mother.
Police had summoned Arjun and his mother in connection with a case filed by the 23-year-old woman who claimed that he was "coercing" her to marry her. She also accused them of "intimidating and assaulting" her. On November 5, Arjun went to the police station and collapsed as cops started questioning him. He was taken to a hospital where his condition is now stable, police said.
The woman, who lives in Peenya 2nd Stage, is a teacher at a private college where Arjun is also employed. Police said they were still investigating the case and would arrest Arjun after taking doctors' opinion on his health.
