MLA H D Revanna on Friday, said, "I will not leave the JD(S) party till my last breath. A few vested interests are intentionally spreading such rumours. There is no difference of opinion among the family members."

Addressing media here Revanna said, "The people of the state have seen the administration of H D Kumaraswamy, who served as the chief minister for 20 months. He exuded confidence that the people will bless the party in the upcoming Assembly elections."

Prajwal's candidature

Revanna also clarified that party supremo H D Deve Gowda and JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy will take a call on issuing a ticket to his son Prajwal for the next general elections and asserted that he would not quit the JD(S) at any point.

He said, "I have strived for the party for 18 years, before being chosen by the people as an MLA. Prajwal is just a party worker now. He is striving for its organisation from the grassroots-level. He has a bright future. Prajwal too has recently informed that he would contest the polls, only if approved by Deve Gowda and myself."

"We are concerned about the people of the state than our family and politics. Both the national parties are involved in mud-slinging, forgetting the welfare of the people", he alleged.

Vikas yatra

"More than 50,000 people had attended the Karnataka Vikas Yatra, that was launched in Mysuru, the Chief Minister's home district, recently. Similarly, more than 15,000 people had gathered at Doddalli, on the border of Hassan district, to welcome the rally even at 12 midnight. We did not invite them by offering money. JD(S) has the support of the people," he said.
