Kolar MLAVarthur Prakash announced on Sunday that he would launch a new party, Namma Congress, at a convention to be held in Vijayapura on December 19, reports DHNS from Almatti.
Eradicating social inequality and uplifting all sections of the society will be the major objectives of his party, the legislator told reporters after a meeting of his fans here.
Prakash said his party would field candidates in 100 constituencies in the upcoming Assembly election.
