On a charismatic drive

Kevin Pietersen has been described as ‘the David Beckham of cricket’. Understandably so, as KP has led England into many stunning victories.

They say his youthful charisma and his bullish confidence are something to watch out for.
Cricket’s very own ‘Becks’ was thoroughly shaken by the bomb blasts that wreaked havoc in the minds of cricketers, at least during the last match.

“I was frightened but I must say that the players were given good security and that was a relief. I am waiting to get on with the rest of the matches,” says Kevin.
Tall and well-built, his suave looks and infectious smile can pass him off as a poster boy. When Kevin joined the Royal Challengers Bangalore team, there were many who just waited to watch him perform his fearless, bold batting style which instantly grabs your attention.

Cricket is all that Kevin has known for long time. He travels a great deal for cricket but what does he do to unwind? “Whatever time I get off the cricketing arena, I spend with my family and friends. Those moments are precious to me,” adds Kevin.
Kevin doesn’t really cook but has his strong preferences. He finds Indian food too spicy and wonders why so many spices are ground in. “My tastes buds are too sensitive. Chicken Tikka Masala and Kakori Kababs are just about what I can tolerate. But I don’t mind exploring cusines that are less spicy,” he says.

Kevin confesses that he has loved and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of his stay in India. So did he go sightseeing? “The tight security in hotels and around us all the time didn’t really permit us to go around and explore places,” he says.
Kevin doesn’t like watching movies but prefers watching a series of serials. “There’s a certain thrill and suspense when watching a series of either a movie or a TV serial,” he sums up.
