'Sangh Parivar responsible for communal tension'

Chief minister Siddaramaiah blamed the Sangh Parivar of being solely responsible for the communal tensions created in the coastal belt.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, the chief minister said that the Sangh Parivar activists should stop spreading communal hatred. Sangh Parivar activists are the descendents of Nathuram Godse and are synonymous with communal disharmony. Nothing great can be expected from them. They are also not good preachers. People who go to temples are not the only devotees. The individual who respects God from his heart is also a real Hindu and no one can doubt his or her devotion.

He added that, although rarely, he does visit temples.

He said he has instructed the police to keep an eye on the Sangh Parivar fractions and the PFI.

He clarified that the Kalladka School which was not offered food supply from the Kollur Mookambika Temple was not a government school. Hence there is no need to supply free food.

Siddaramaiah said that if the former chief minister Kumaraswamy has proper documents over Deepak Rao's murder, he can give it to the government which would help the investigation process.
