Don't be mulish, help resolve row: BJP tells CM

Last Updated 12 January 2018, 19:35 IST

Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ananth Kumar on Friday said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should take the initiative for an out-of-the court settlement with Goa to resolve the Mahadayi river water disputes.

Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, Kumar said the state government missed the opportunity when Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar had expressed his willingness for bilateral talks to share the river water with Karnataka.

"Siddaramaiah should at least now shun his stubborn attitude and take the initiative for out-of-the court settlement with Goa to resolve the dispute," the Bangalore South MP said.
