SKSSF to form human chain tomorrow

Members of the SKSSF will form a human chain at Kaikamba grounds in Gurupur on January 26, to spread the message of religious harmony, said SKSSF district secretary Siddik Bantwal.

Addressing reporters here on Wednesday, he said that the programme will be held in 36 various parts of the nation and also 36 parts in foreign countries simultaneously. The human chain formation will be the 10th programme in the district. People from all religions will take part in human chain.

Siddik said that Shahul Hamil, the District Wakf Advisory Committee vice president, will perform the flag-hoisting at 9 am. A rally will be taken out at 2 pm from Suralpadi Masjid till Gurpur Kaikamba grounds. Samastha Kendra Mushavar vice president Shaikhuna Abdul Jabbar Ustad will preside over the programme. District in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai will inaugurate the rally. Kemaru Mutt pontiff Isha Vittaladasa Swami will be guest of honour. Kaikamba Parish Priest Food and Civil Supplies Minister U T Khader, Mangaluru North MLA B A Mohiyuddin Bava, Zilla Panchayat member U P Ibrahim and Bajpe Circle Inspector Parashiva Murthy will be present. SKSSF district committee vice president Khasim Darimi, treasurer Abdul Jalil Badriya, general secretary Ismail Yamani, human chain reception committee president Riaz Milan and Abdul Majid Suralpadi were present at the press meet.
