Online approval for building plans from February first week

The BBMP will roll out the process of online approval for the building plans from the first week of February.

N Manjunath Prasad, BBMP Commissioner, informed the Palike council meeting on Tuesday that the process will reduce red-tapism, avoids inconvenience to citizens in getting their work done.

The civic body has developed a software to provide the online approval after discussing with e-governance department and Bengaluru Development Minister K J George.

Medical expense refunding

The Palike has received more applications than the grant reserved for the repayment of medical expenses for the poor. So it was not possible to refund the medical expense, the commissioner said.

In the meeting, the civic body approved Rs 5 crore incentive to Bengaluru-based aerospace start-up Team Indus, which will attempt to place its spacecraft on the moon's surface.

The Palike will also allot Rs 1 crore to celebrate the birthday of Siddaganga Mutt Seer Shivakumara Swami at zonal level in the BBMP.
