Guv initiates probe against former in-charge VC of UoM

The office of the Governor, the Chancellor of the universities in the state, has communicated to the University of Mysore, to initiate a probe against former in-charge vice chancellor Dayananda Mane.

The communication to the registrar is in connection with the appointment of guest lecturers. Registrar D Bharathi said that a report in this regard will be sent to the Governor's office.

Meanwhile, the Higher Education Department has sought a report on a sexual harassment case against Mane in his Public Administration department. A committee of the UoM has probed the charges earlier.

Bharathi said, "The committee report has been presented before the UoM Syndicate earlier. Before sending the report to the government, the advise of in-charge VC C Basavaraju will be sought."
