<p>The J C Nagar police have arrested a 23-year-old driver of a travel agency in the city who stole valuables from passengers to buy gifts for his fiance.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The police have also recovered 310 grams of gold ornaments from the driver.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The accused, Shahim Peerzade, is a resident of Bhatkal. He recently got engaged and had promised his fiance a scooter and gold ornaments.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Peerzade decided to steal the valuables from passengers who are careless, the police said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He has committed crimes in moving vehicles in RMC Yard and Kodigehalli and the police have registered cases.</p>
