Since then Mysore Shrinivas Sathyu, auteur extraordinary has given sterling works as Kanneshwara Rama, Chitegu Chinte, Bara. Much water has flown since then and the iconic director returns after 12-year hiatus to test his metier yet again with “Ijjodu” — The Incompatible.
Though one can still witness flashes of brilliance of his cinematic acumen, “Ijjodu”, is however, not masterclass.
A let down from the maestro, Ijjodu, which was awaited with avid expectations, fleets and flits like rudderless boat, sparkling only in its last ten minutes.
Still “Ijjodu” is a cinema you should have no qualms gracing given that Sathyu is at helm again with another thought-provoking film that needs encouragement and patronage.
