Speaking to mediapersons on Saturday, he said Kodagu is geographically an unique land. However, the problems are huge. The district requires proper road connectivity. There is a need to promote tourism in the district. In this regard, an all party delegation will meet Sonia Gandhi soon.
He said “I met Sonia Gandhi on Friday and thanked her for announcing coffee package. I will discuss on all party delegation with BJP and JD(S) leaders soon.”
He said “I want development in my constituency. I will not indulge in politics for development. I will work unitedly for the development of the district.”
To a query on opposition by environmentalists for the railway connectivity to Kodagu, he said “we need to discuss with the environmentalists. We do not want those projects which people are not interested. For the promotion of tourism and development of the district, railway connectivity is very essential.”
