Management games competition held

The three-day event saw participation from NTPC, ONGC, Ashok Leyland, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Tata  Consultancy Engineering, BPCL, Chennai Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd, Neyveli Lignite Corporation, ITC Foods, Power Grid Corporation, TATA Steel, Indian Oil Corporation, Hero Honda Motors competing to win the 19th National Management Games (NSG).

In the end, it was the team from NTPC, Delhi which came first while the team from Chennai Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd became the runner-up. They will compete in the national championship to be held on June 18 at Delhi.

The 18 teams were given a hypothetically simulated company to run whose performance was evaluated for five quarters over the first two days. Finally after elimination, only eight teams proceeded to the final on the third day. The opening ceremony of the event was chaired by Subrahmanyam Goparaju V P and Head, SETLabs Infosys Technologies Ltd.

He shared his views on innovation and how technology is changing the world and its impact on everyday life.

The closing ceremony was graced by Ashish Khandepur, Executive Director, 3M India. He spoke on the role people and leadership play in innovation. He also distributed prizes to the winning team.
