Hearing the plea of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) which is looking into charges of rape and sexual exploitation against Nithyananda, the First Lower Court Judge and Judicial Magistrate Vijayalakshmi passed the orders.
Public Prosecutor N R Lokesh requested an extension in the judicial custody as Nithyananda is yet to get bail from the High Court. Nithyananda’s custody was last extended on May 10.
