“Police came to the conclusion that not much information can be extracted from the persons against whom notices were issued. The case will be closed immediately,” he informed at a press meet here on Saturday.
Murugan clarified that the notice was issued due to “communication gap”. Police have no intention to curb the freedom of expression enjoyed by the media, the Superintendent of Police asserted and promised to take precautions to avoid such incidents in future.
Earlier in the day, at a meeting with the functionaries of the District Working Journalists’ Association, the SP said police would like to have cordial relationship with scribes in future.
