CID asked to place probe material before HC

Hearing a bail petition by Halappa, Justice Subhash B Adi has directed the CID to submit investigation materials to the court within two weeks.  The court has directed the CID to submit details regarding conversation of mobiles calls pertaining to the incidents. Check whether any calls were made from same mobile number before the incident. The Court also wanted to know the status of Forensic Science Report.

When the court questioned the prosecution regarding the time it requires to complete the probe, the prosecution said that it needs 20 to 30 days time to complete the probe.  Senior Counsel Ravi B Nayak, appearing for Halappa submitted that since police had interrogated Halappa, he should be granted bail.

Pointing out that this entire episode is politically motivated, counsel for appellant said: “The victim goes to lodge a complaint with the Governor not to the police. This explains every thing.”
