These two varieties would be the cynosure of all eyes during the six-day Mango and Jackfruit Fair arranged at the Lalbagh Glass House here from Saturday. Besides mangoes and jackfruits other fruits would also be on display such as jamun, butter fruit, Ram Phal, Malayan Apple.
The officials of the horticulture department would also give technical guidance to the fruit growers regarding mango and jackfruit during a workshop on May 31 at 11 am. The horticulture department expects the arrival of around 500 to 600 tonnes of fruits during the Fair.
