District Youth Congress President Dharmaja Uthappa, Virajpet Town Panchayat President Saritha Poonaccha, DCC General Secretary V P Suresh led a protest rally organised by District Youth Congress.

The protestors said “state government has failed to fulfill all the assurances given in the election manifesto. Owing to the shortage of funds, development works have been stalled. The financial condition of the state is in poor condition.”

Congress workers said “government has failed in controlling the rise in prie of essential commodities. It has also failed in the distribution of BPL ration cards. The farmers woes have not been solved and is following anti farmers policy.”

Though Centre released Rs 1,700 crore for the flood victims of North Karnataka, government has failed in utilising the funds. As a result, the victims are forced to live on streets.
The ministers have forgotten their responsibility and are involved in corruption, illegal mining and illegal activities, they said and urged the Governor to suspend the government.
