Biocon net up 33 per cent

Total income stood at Rs 672 crore, up 33 per cent from  Rs 505 crore last year. The company recorded total sales of Rs 662 crore as against Rs 496 crore in the previous fiscal.
The earnings per share stood at Rs 3.84 and operating margin at 21 per cent. Chairman & Managing Director Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw said “Biocon has started the financial year on a strong note and has identified biosimilars, immunosuppressants, research services and emerging markets as key growth drivers for near term.”
