JOIN USThe taluk panchayat review meeting, chaired by Zilla Panchayat President Mangamma Muniswamy, here began with ZP member T Muniraju’s objection that there is no agenda for the meeting at all. He asked what were the subjects supposed to be discussed during the meeting.
He launched the tirade without giving an opportunity for the president to defend or reply.
Mangamma, after making a vain bid to pacify him, later kept mum listening to the officials’ presentations on various works to Assistant Secretary Lakshminarayana.
Muniraju instructed Executive Officer of the taluk panchayat Dr Venkataswamy to initiate constructive works like planting saplings in schools and proper implementation of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
Vice-President Naveedakhan, Bharati Bhimanna, ZP member Ramachandrappa, Narayanamma, Appi Venkataramireddy, Krishnamma Timmanayak and Assistant Executive Assistant Ramakrishnappa were present.
